Need your jewellery fixed in a rush..?
We offer a special ‘rush’ service for urgencies and emergencies. For this special service we will drop whatever we are working on and prioritise your repair – often completing it in the same day it arrives to the workshop. This service costs twice the listed or quoted price of the repair. We also have a 10 day service for 1.5x cost. Subject to availability.

Pricing Guide
This is a price guide which represents our best estimates for some of our most common repairs. 90% of our repairs are standard procedure and this pricelist will give a good indication as to the cost if not the exact cost. All repairs are subject to inspection in our workshop and will be quoted before beginning any work.

Ring Re-sizing
Note: Any white gold sizings, or rings with any white gold on them get a Rhodium plating at an additional (and reduced) cost of £35. Sizing down often requires stones down the side of rings to be tightened which are charged at £8 for each loose stone. 1-2 sizes usually doesn’t require any tightening. 3 or more sizes down will almost certainly need a few stones to be tightened.
Claw Re-tipping
Prices are per claw.
Re-tipping on diamonds above 6mm in size will be quoted in the workshop.
Re-tipping claws is fairly straightforward on diamonds, but is harder work on coloured stones. If, you have a coloured stone on your ring that cannot take heat, then we may need to take the stone out before re-tipping. In these cases we will have to quote for resetting the stone as well which is dependent on the type and size of stone.
New Shank
Chain and Bracelet Repair
90% of chain repairs are £35. This is our charge for a basic weld. If your chain is platinum, hollow, or very thick or heavy, it will have to be quoted in the workshop.

These are our prices for top-quality small diamonds.
We also supply larger diamonds, but these must be quoted individually. We will always supply GIA certified diamonds on stones over 0.5cts.

9kt gold – £12 per gram

Platinum – £14 per gram
These are estimated prices and depends on the metal price on the day. If you would like an exact price we can usually quote on the spot.
Just bring your scrap metal or jewellery into the workspace. Alternatively, you can send it in an envelope. We’re happy to pay you via bank transfer or cash – whichever you prefer!
Valuations
Most insurers in the UK require and up-to-date valuation to cover your jewellery – a valuation normally expires in insurers’ eyes after ten years.
The price of repairs on vintage jewellery is subject to viewing here in our workshop. Older pieces are often more delicate and require a bit more care and attention so please allow an extra 20% on top of the listed prices.
It’s nice to know…
…where possible, we use the latest laser welding technology. Laser technology can weld seamlessly without using heat or solder, which normally leaves a visible seam at the join. It’s an essential tool when it comes to repairing jewellery to a high standard, especially for platinum jewellery. Some repairs just can’t be done without the laser, and it enhances the quality of near enough every job!

I have recently had two rings repaired by the Jewellery Repair Workshop, as well as some earrings altered and a new stone fitted into an existing pendant setting. At every stage, they have been a pleasure to deal with. Email communication throughout was prompt, the work was beautifully done, the pieces were ready on time and Ryan was friendly and professional throughout. It is a little nerve-wracking handing over much-loved pieces (in my case, my engagement ring which I had worn just about every day for the previous 26 years) but I needn't have worried.
