Sizing down often requires stones down the side of rings to be tightened which are charged at £7 for each loose stone. 1-2 sizes usually doesn’t require any tightening. 3 or more sizes down and almost certainly needs a few stones will need to be tightened.
All prices are per claw.
Retipping claws is fairly straightforward on diamonds, but is harder work on coloured stones. Rubies and sapphires can take heat, and so you can use the table above as a price guide. If, however, you have a coloured stone on your ring that cannot take heat, then we may need to take the stone out before re-tipping. In these cases we will have to quote each claw individually.

We offer valuations for £95 per item of jewellery.
Most insureres in the UK require and up-to-date valuation to cover your jewellery – a valuation normally expires in insurers’ eyes after ten years.
The price of repairs on vintage jewellery is subject to viewing here in our workshop. Older pieces are often more delicate and require a bit more care and attention so please allow an extra 20% on top of the listed prices.
It’s nice to know…
…where possible, we use the latest laser welding technology. Laser technology can weld seamlessly without using heat or solder, which normally leaves a visible seam at the join. It’s an essential tool when it comes to repairing jewellery to a high standard, especially for platinum jewellery. Some repairs just can’t be done without the laser, and it enhances the quality of near enough every job!

From Our Customers
Simon and the team were absolutely superb, from getting my broken ring booked in for repair to the repair itself, its like a new ring. I was quoted 10 days turn around but received a call 6 days in to say all was complete. I highly highly recommend Simon and his team! thanks again Guys
I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude for the service I received today at the workshop. From the moment I entered I was made to feel very welcomed and the kindness that was exude from both of the gentlemen working there was first rate. Sometimes you have jewellery that might not be very expensive but is priceless to you and I was not looked down upon at all for the pieces I brought in. Better still since my repair needed to simply remove a piece and close the link back they offered it to me on the house, you will not find this honest craftsmanship anywhere else in London. Don't look anywhere else for your repairs.
I had a gold chain and a bracelet fixed and am very happy with the result of both. There customer contact and service was also very good. I would definitely use the Jewellery Repair Workshop again.
